Celebrity Basketball Game

The Boys & Girls Clubs Liberty County Unit hosted its inaugural Celebrity Basketball Game on Saturday, July 20, 2024, to raise funds for 2024-2025 programming. The public relations goals for the event were:

Sparrow Communications assisted with event branding, event promotions, social media content creation, volunteer management, vendor management, and run of show for the event. The 2024 Liberty County Boys & Girls Clubs Celebrity Basketball Game was a night of basketball, food, music, and fun as Liberty County Youth competed against Liberty County Elected Officials in an exhibition basketball game. The Liberty County High School Gym was filled with players, cheerleaders, community members, and special guests to raise funds for the Liberty County Boys & Girls Clubs.

Our strategy targeted Family, Friends, and Employees of Players and Participants. We used social media video campaigns and grassroots methods to build event anticipation. We focused on the unique opportunity to see elected officials play a youth team in a full-court basketball game with live music and performances. The outcomes of the public relations efforts were:
